For more than four decades, William M. Powell has represented injured people and their families against physicians, hospitals, corporations, and government agencies—from presuit investigation through jury verdict.
His practice concentrates on medical malpractice and catastrophic injury, and extends to civil rights actions under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, defective medical device and pharmaceutical claims, class actions, and False Claims Act litigation on behalf of the United States.
A licensed pilot with more than 1,000 hours in the air, Mr. Powell also brings a working command of aviation to accident cases involving aircraft—an area where many lawyers must rely entirely on hired experts.
